- Q: I downloaded a video from web and configured ZD Soft Movie Screensaver to play it. But I only got an error message "no applicable video codec". How can I get it to play?
A: You have to install the correct video codec for the video file you want to play. If you don't know what codec you should install, I recommend you install FFDShow. It is a free codec for all popular video formats.
- Q: I set a movie to play with ZD Soft Movie Screensaver. It works fine. But if I set a start time and an end time, I just got a black screen. Why?
A: Some movies are not seekable. So if you want to set a start time or an end time on these movies, you won't get what you expect. You can test if a movie is seekable by trying to play and seek it in Windows Media Player.
