FAQs
  • Q: Why can't I record a movie that is playing in Windows Media Player? The screen is just blank.
A: Maybe the movie is playing under hardware acceleration mode which is not supported by ZD Soft Screen Recorder. You'd better try out ZD Soft Video Recorder. It is specially designed for video recording.

  • Q: I've tried to record movies while playing Guild Wars (a 3D game) and it appears that when I record with it, the screen turns black, it doesn't show what's happening in the window. Sometimes when I move the mouse some of the graphics will show up. Any way I can fix this?
A: Most PC games run under hardware acceleration mode which is not supported by ZD Soft Screen Recorder. You'd better try out ZD Soft Game Recorder. It is specially designed for game recording.

  • Q: I recorded my screen in AVI file format. But I found that playback was significantly quicker than original recording mode. I did not found any way to "slow down" the playback back to original speed. Is there any way to slow down playback in order to mimic original recording speed?
A: Maybe the recording FPS you specified was too high to afford by your computer. So frame skips occurred and the playback gets quicker than original recording speed. To solve this problem, just set to record at a lower recording FPS that your computer can afford.
