- Q: I recorded a video but there is no sound. Why?
A: Before you start recording, please quit any other audio recording related programs and devices, such as Total Recorder, chatting programs, webcam devices, USB audio devices and so on. And please make sure you have selected the correct audio recording source option in the "Audio Settings" section, such as "Stereo Mix", "Mono Mix", "Wave Out Mix" or something else contains the word "Mix". If there is not such an option, it means your sound card does not support system sound recording through the mixer, in this case the only way is to place a jumper cable between the external speaker outlet and the external line in (or microphone) in order to redirect the output audio signal to the "Line In" (or "Microphone") port, and then try to record again. If you have done everything above but still no sound, perhaps the recording sound is too low to hear, this may happen if your system sound volume is very low, please set higher system sound volume or recording volume, and then try again.
