ZD Soft Refund Policy

1) What this Policy covers
This Policy applies to purchases made directly from Shenzhen ZD Soft Co., Ltd. (“ZD Soft”, “we”). If you bought through a reseller/app store/payment platform, their refund rules may apply; please follow their instructions.

2) Trials and evaluation

  • Desktop software: free trial (typically ~15 days). Trial may show a watermark and/or purchase prompts.
  • SDK: 30-day full-function trial to thoroughly test integration, performance, and compatibility.
    Please evaluate during trial to ensure the product meets your needs and environment.

3) 15-Day Money-Back Guarantee (desktop software)
Within 15 calendar days from the payment date of:

  • a first-time perpetual license for a device-based product; or
  • the first term of a new subscription,
    you may request a full refund (unconditional) from ZD Soft.

Effect of refund: your license will be revoked/deactivated; you must stop using, uninstall/delete the software and license data, and not retain backup keys. If the license activated multiple devices under your order, all relevant activations must be deactivated.

Not eligible (unless required by law): upgrades, renewals, add-ons, services, orders older than 15 days, and purchases from unauthorized channels.

4) Subscriptions (renewals & cancellation)

  • Renewal may be automatic or manual, depending on our payment platform integration; the checkout page shows the renewal terms and price (which may differ from a promotional first-term price).
  • You can cancel anytime to prevent future billing; access typically continues until the end of the current paid term.
  • Renewal charges are non-refundable after the renewal date by default. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial terms (unless required by law or specified by a third-party store).

5) SDK — No refunds after purchase
For ZD Screen Recorder SDK, all sales are final. Please rely on the 30-day full-function trial for evaluation prior to purchase. We do not accept custom development requests.

6) Free trials, free subscriptions, and promotional grants
Free trials and promotional/free subscriptions (e.g., granted via campaigns) have no monetary value and are not refundable. You may opt out at any time.

7) How to request a refund
Email support@zdsoft.com with:

  • Order ID / transaction ID, purchase date;
  • Product name and license key (if applicable);
  • Purchaser email (used at checkout);
  • Brief reason (optional, helps us improve).
    If purchased via a third-party store/reseller, please contact them directly.

8) Refund method and timing
Where approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method in the original currency received by ZD Soft. Processing time depends on your bank or payment provider (typically several business days). Foreign exchange differences and bank/processor fees outside our control are not reimbursed.

9) Chargebacks & abuse
If an unintended charge occurs, please contact us first. We may suspend or revoke licenses associated with chargebacks, suspected fraud, or abuse.

10) Your statutory rights
This Policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under local law.

11) Governing law & disputes (website policy)
For the English version of this website policy: Hong Kong SAR law applies. Disputes shall be finally resolved by HKIAC arbitration (seat: Hong Kong; language: English; tribunal: one arbitrator). Interim relief may be sought from competent courts. (Software usage disputes follow the applicable EULA/SDK EULA.)
